ASL 101 Part 1 class is not necessarily a prerequisites. If you can introduce yourself and your family in sign, then this class is your starting point.
Students will learn how to memorize vocabulary based on handshapes rather than rote memory.
Students will produce basic signs in ASL
Students will apply signing knowledge to provide visual reports
The ASL 101 course - in its entirety - contains 48 lessons and is based on the curriculum used at California State University. ASLasl divides the 48 lessons into "parts" (i.e. ASL 101 Part 1; ASL 101 Part 2, etc....).
